Well, Fay has moved in and doesn't want to leave. We have had rain for a week straight. I like rain, but this is starting to get a little ridiculous. We really need to do some yard work, because thanks to all the rain, stuff is just GROWING out there. The grass, the hedges, etc. But it's all too wet to deal with right now. I never thought I'd say this, but, "Some sunshine, please?". I'm usually a dark, cold, rainy, Wintry kind of girl, so this is really causing an identity crisis for me when I start wanting sunshine.
Anyway. I haven't heard anything yet about the job with my friend. So keep your fingers crossed!
In other news, I have a couple new layouts.
This first one is of Mama. She is always cooking something good for all her family. I took this picture of her holding a dish for a family reunion that she hosted a couple years ago. She is my Culinary Hero.
This next one is just a fun one I wanted to do. I always get Brian's opinion when I come up with a title for a layout, and this time was no different. He really came up with this one and I was like, no, that's too cheesy (after a cheeseball 80s Kung Fu movie). But it really was perfect, so I went with it.
So, I guess that's all the news for now.
Have a great week!

Beatrice
I did a layout of Beatrice, showing how she loves to peek out the office window. This pose I caught her in is hilarious! She is such a crazy cat.
In other news, I may be going back to work soon! I left my last job in December because it was waaaaay too much stress! But, my friend's husband owns a construction company and needs an assistant to help in his office. It would be sorta part-time, which is what I'm looking for. So, I really hope this works out! So she is talking to her husband to iron out the details and is supposed to let me know soon.
Yay! If this works out, that means lots more scrapping (and everything!) money!
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Hope everyone has a great day!

In A Card Makin' Mood
I made a few cards this week! Just some general "Hi" cards.
For this first one, I used Basic Grey (Perhaps Collection), just some leftover scraps I had and wanted to use up. Also, the cute little butterfly is from my scrappy friend Jackie (Kellmorris on scrapbook.com), all the way from England! How sweet of her to send me some scrappy goodies along with her Eiffel Tower Anniversary card that she sent me as part of our group's card swap.
This next card was just another "use up some scraps" card. The "hi" letters are from We R Memory Keepers (Explore Collection).
This is another card using BG's "Perhaps" and the "HI" letters are self-adhesive chipboard I got at Michael's.
Did I mention I love my Fiskars Threading Water punch? I LOOOOOOOOVE it and use it as often as I can! I've had it several months and still can't get enough of it!
The new blog design is thanks to Amanda at KevinandAmanda.com. She pointed me to The Cutest Blog On The Block, which is where I got this cute design! Thanks, Amanda!!
Well, Happy Friday, everyone, and Happy Scrapping!

More Handmade Doodled Flowers
Hello!
I was playing around again today with doodling some hand-cut flower shapes and a couple stars and circles. Here's what I came up with:
I'm addicted to making these things! I will probably use these on my own layouts, but I was thinking of maybe trying to sell some on Etsy.
Feedback, anyone? Is this something you think people would buy?
Thanks for looking! :)

Favorites
Hello everyone!
This layout is one I did for The Eiffel Tower Gallery/Support Group's Technique and Book of Me Challenge at Scrapbook.com. We had to do a layout of our favorites, extra points for doing five favorites. We also had to use five of each item on the layout, for example, five pieces of patterned paper, five brads, five photos, etc.
I used some awesome papers that I got when I went to Archiver's for the FIRST TIME a few weeks ago. We went the same day as the Duluth Scrapbook Expo. I really loved Archiver's, although it was extremely crowded due to the Expo folks all up in there. But I definitely want to plan a trip back soon!
Anyway, here it is:
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Scrapping Funk
I haven't been in much of a scrapping mood lately.
I am worried about our latest kitty addition, Sleepy. She has been fighting a bad ear infection since we took her in almost three months ago. She's on her third course of antibiotics, and she has improved, but the vet says the infection is still hanging on way down inside her ear canal.
She is pregnant, due any day, and we can try a topical treatment but not until she has her babies. And even then, the topical may not work. The only long-term solution might end up being a very expensive ear surgery to place tubes in her ears. Anyway, if anyone is reading, please say a prayer for Sleepy and that the topical treatment will work for her.
Here are some pics of her. She is so sweet.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts and prayers for Sleepy's recovery. I'm waiting on some pics of her to come from snapfish, and then I'll be doing some layouts of her.
