New Layouts

Here's some layouts I got done over the last couple weeks.










It's a rainy, stormy day here today. Plus, Brian and I both have bronchitis. Ugh. Hope everyone is having a better weekend where you are!

Purse Of The Day (Tag)

Ok, here's a fun way to kind of get to know a bit about our friends here in blogland. My friend, Nina hit me with this purse-of-the-day tag. Check out Nina's blog by clicking on her name above or find the link in my sidebar (Scrappy Inspiration And Other Awesome Blogs).

The Rules:

1. Post a picture of whatever bag you are using today - not last weekend when you and your hubby went out to that fabulous restaurant. No cheating!!!

2. Tell us how much it cost. This is a no-judgment zone -- there will be no ridiculing or eye rolling here. And, if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I'd love to hear it.

3. Then, I pick 5 people to post on their blog!



OK, I fell in love with this purse when I first saw it. And it didn't hurt that it was on sale! :D
I immediately loved the color, and thought that this beautiful lime/chartreuse green was more of a neutral than black or brown would be. And I was right! This purse literally goes with everything I wear.

I think I paid around $20 for it, and I got it at Kohl's. It was in February 2008, so I've had it for about a year now. It was a birthday present to myself. :D I love it because it's HUGE. I carry so much crap in my purse. But, everyone always says I'm very prepared. Chances are, if you need it, I have it, from medication for a headache to hand wipes to saline solution to a small pack of those little sticky sheets that you get pet hair and lint off with. Yeah. I gotcha.

12 Years

Today is Brian's and my 12th Wedding Anniversary.

12 years down, Forever to go. I love you, baby.

A Few New Layouts

Here's some layouts I've been working on lately. Trying to get those Christmas pics scrapped!

This first one is of Brian opening his gift from me, a Lansky hone/sharpening system. I had to make his yellow shirt work for a Christmas layout. :)


Next, is a layout of me opening my Slice (from Brian)! Yes, that's a pic of me hugging it down in the bottom right corner! I am not ashamed!! :D


And this last one is of some paper bells I made when I was little. Mama has kept them for well over 20 years and always puts them on her Christmas tree each year. That is so sweet!!


Got a big weekend and week coming up! Saturday is our first weigh-in for The Biggest Loser competition (our subdivision is having its own contest). Then, Sunday is our 12th wedding anniversary!

Next week, Brian is on vacation. Monday, we're going to spend the day with my parents and Maw.

I am so excited, because on Tuesday, we're going to IKEA!!!! Yay!!! I can't wait to see IKEA again. It will be awesome.

Hi, I'm 32 now. :D

Last Sunday, February 1st, I turned 32. My parents and sister came over and brought a wonderful dinner--baked spaghetti, garlic bread and Mama's awesome chocolate cake with cooked chocolate fudge icing. There ought to be a law against that stuff. Anyway, it was so much fun!

Ginger got there first, and brought this huge bouquet of birthday balloons!! They were so pretty and I'm still enjoying them.


Mama and Daddy got there and Mama had made this cake. She even made a little hand-made scrapbook for the top! She's so clever and sweet.

I got: glue dots, lots of awesome buttons, the Fa La La card for my Slice, some bling, some pretty ribbons, Stickles, and some little bottle cap embellishments. I love all my stuff and have already been using it on some layouts this week! I'll be posting those next.


So, it was a really nice birthday. I am so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful and caring husband and family. Thanks, y'all!
